Diversification Helps
In investing, it is very important that you do everything you can not to lose money. One way you can do that is by diversifying your portfolio. This involves mixing a wide variety of investments in your portfolio. The reasoning behind this is that when investments are not correlated, there is a lesser risk that they would all perform negatively. But then again, this is a kind of a gamble on the part of the investor as you would be risking loosing profit by not investing much on a booming industry.
