The Leprechaun
In keeping up with St. Patrick’s Day, we turn our focus on the term Leprechaun Leader. Essentially, this term is reserved for a manager or any executive who is mischievous and elusive, just like the famous Irish elf. Also, this term is given to these leaders as they are also in possession of treasures.
Unlike the leprechaun though, these Leprechaun Leaders hide their ill-gotten wealth on offshore bank accounts. The executives of Enron discovered in 2001 to have practiced questionable business ethics are good examples of Leprechaun Leaders.
Today, do we still have Leprechaun Leaders? I cannot answer that…yet. But with greed always been in the nature of Man, it is only a matter of time before a company is rocked with the same scandal that hit Enron back in the days.
