3 Overlooked Emerging Markets

Tired of doing internet stock trading? Is it high time for you to jump into emerging markets abroad? If you think it is, here are three overlooked markets deemed as greener pastures:

Mexico: With more than 80% of its exports and 50% of imports linked to the United States, Mexico’s economic path is connected to its northern neighbors. And even though Mexico is the 15th-biggest economy in the world, the territory still has plenty of room to grow.

Chile: This metal-rich country is often surpassed by hot-growth Brazil, but it delivers a high level of foreign trade, a market-oriented economy, and real GDP growth of more than 4%. Since 2000, inflation has remained in check.

Taiwan: It’s the complete “high political risk” market with stocks that generally sport below-market valuations with strong earnings growth.

Look before you jump. There are always added risks when you invest abroad, especially in emerging markets. Thus, before doing so, be sure to understand the country’s economic philosophy, political climate, and level of corruption.
